WHAT YOU DO
For place mats
1. Create place mat by using purchased
decorative-edged paper or create
your own by punching cardstock
with a specialty border punch. Place
contrasting cardstock behind any
openings in the place mat and add
punched circles to the front side.
2. Adhere the round place mat to a full
sheet of patterned paper if desired.
For place cards
1. Cut cardstock to 4× 4½ inches and
score at 2¼ inches. Fold in half to
create place card “tent.” Cut a smaller
piece of patterned paper to fit the
front of the place card.
2. Print or stamp guest's name on a
strip of cardstock a bit wider than
the place card. Notch one end with
scissors to create a banner, then
adhere the strip to the place card.
Cut circles from matching cardstock
and adhere to front of place card with
foam dots. Adhere a holiday die cut or
punched piece to the circles. Embellish
with ribbon or twine.
For napkin rings
1. Cut and layer strips of patterned
paper to fit around your napkins. (Our
strips measure 2× 6 inches.)Adhere
the ends of the strips with strong tape
adhesive.
2. Cut circles from matching
cardstock. Cut a short strip of
cardstock and notch one end with
scissors like a banner. Adhere to the
back side of the circles, then adhere
the circles to the napkin ring with
strong tape adhesive.
3. Adhere a holiday die cut or punched
piece to the circles. Embellish as
desired.
For vase and place card
containers (1 large, 2 small)
1. Cut strips of cardstock/patterned
paper to fit around vases. Adhere with
strong tape adhesive. Fill large vase
with beads or mini ornaments.
2. Embellish small containers with
die-cut or punched holiday shapes,
twine, and ribbon. Place a votive
candle in each small container. Note:
Be sure that any ribbon or twine is
kept away from flame. Never leave a
burning candle unattended.
